On the nose, you\u2019ll find clean notes; on the palate, balance (if there\u2019s something we despise, it\u2019s cloying sweetness), because we\u2019re talking about a mead so remarkably stable that not even a stubborn dwarf would dare argue with it. What does this mean? It withstands the passage of time without turning odd, without re\u2011fermenting and without mutating into something you never asked for.\n\nA recipe with freshness, sweetness and flavour<\/b> that fits in many settings \u2014 though it definitely prefers tables covered in dice, comics, miniatures, guitars and people who say \u201cthis will be quick\u201d and then show up with a brand\u2011new rulebook.\n\n\u00a0\n\nMead Lok<\/b>i: A fruity mead, incredibly well\u2011suited to people who farm excuses.<\/i>\n\nLoki Mead is a fruity melomel recipe at 6.5% ABV, and it disappears from our storage with the same speed Batman uses when someone tries to thank him. Its deep red colour doesn\u2019t come from any marketing trick (even though it does look like a collector\u2019s edition); it comes straight from blackcurrant<\/b>.
