Odin Double Honey Mead

The essence of the real thing, doubled.

Have you tracked more miles than Aragorn looking for the hobbits and still haven’t found your ideal mead? Let us introduce Odin Double Honey Mead, the VIP version for those who refuse to settle for just any elven nectar.

While our standard version is worthy of a feast in Edoras, this premium edition has gone through an even longer and more refined crafting process. With sweet notes, a silky body and floral character, these are the select organoleptic expressions of Odin’s recipe.
Craft‑made with a generous amount of orange‑blossom honey, its profile is so complex that even an Ent would need at least a couple of months to describe it.

Ideal for slow enjoyment in your hobbit‑hole while you revisit your fantasy‑literature collection with a glass in hand.
A piece of pure craftsmanship suitable only for adults (hobbits aged 33+).

PS: On another note, we love giving advice no one asked for, so here’s one: store your mead in a cool place and away from direct sunlight; it’s the best way to enjoy it as if you’d bought it yesterday (but please, we beg you, make sure it’s before the best‑before date).

Product details:

  • Alcohol: 9% ABV.
  • Format: 33 cl in a dark‑glass bottle.
  • Style: Sweet traditional, still.
  • Ingredients: Water, orange‑blossom honey, yeast and sulphites
  • Properties: Gluten‑free. Traditional mead contains no gluten because it is not made with grains or malts.

Additional information

Pairing:

– Meat dishes with sauces: It elevates meat dishes with sweet mead‑based sauces, creating a perfect balance between sweetness and depth.

– Aged cheeses: The complex flavours of Odin Double Honey Mead are the ideal match for aged cheeses such as mature manchego, comté or aged cheddar.

Organoleptic properties:

Odin Double Honey Mead is a premium mead that stands out for the high quality of its ingredients. With a much longer and more meticulous crafting process than those normally used in our fermentation methods, we achieve a mead that delivers intensity and sophistication. Its star ingredient is orange‑blossom honey, one of the most exquisite varieties available thanks to its silky, citrus nuances, creating a unique and balanced experience — ideal for lovers of genuine flavours.
Alcohol: 9% ABV.
Craft‑made and gluten‑free.

Our meads hold up remarkably well over time; you simply need to store them at room temperature and protected from sunlight. Their flavour won’t change and they won’t gain extra carbonation, as these meads are very stable and never re‑ferment.

Why Odin?

Queen’s Cup judges

The “Copa Reina” (Queen’s Cup) is one of those places where mead gets serious.

Organised by AESHI (Spanish Mead Association), the Queen’s Cup has earned its place as a benchmark event in Spain thanks to its strict criteria when evaluating mead recipes.

In this tribunal, recipes must be excellent, as the judges apply a technical standard that accepts no beginner quests — only deep organoleptic analysis.

For that reason, we thank AESHI for choosing us as judges in 2021, 2022 and 2023. We may not be the most traditional (in fact, not even remotely normal), but our tasting notes have proven to be a critical hit.
