When you want to enjoy the full work but are not sure where to begin the SAGA, you usually start by trying the three most classic ones. This pack is a classic, since in order of creation, Odin was the first recipe we developed and the starting point, while Loki would be the second instalment with the search for a plot twist on the palate, and Hela closes a trilogy of recipes that embody a very specific mead style, the so‑called season varieties, characterised by very clear honey notes, fruity flavours and a lower alcohol content compared to other styles.

• Odin Mead: Traditional mead that has existed longer than One Piece.

They say Odin sacrificed an eye for wisdom.
We haven’t gone quite that far… but we have sacrificed litres of brilliant test batches to achieve a mead worthy of the approval of the gods of Asgard. So if you’re here to buy mead, welcome — and if you’re not… nah, we don’t really consider that an option.

On the nose you’ll find clean notes, and on the palate, balance (if there’s one thing we hate, it’s being cloying), because we’re talking about a mead so incredibly stable that not even the most stubborn dwarf would dare argue with it. What does that mean? That it withstands the passage of time without turning odd, without re‑fermenting, and basically without mutating into something you didn’t ask for.

A recipe with freshness, sweetness and flavour that fits in many settings — though it definitely prefers tables covered in dice, comics, miniatures, guitars and people who say “this will be quick” and then show up with a brand‑new rulebook.

• Mead Loki: A fruity mead, incredibly well‑suited to people who farm excuses.

Loki Mead is a fruity melomel recipe at 6.5% ABV, and it disappears from our storage with the same speed Batman uses when someone tries to thank him. Its deep red colour doesn’t come from any marketing trick (even though it does look like a collector’s edition); it comes straight from blackcurrant. On the palate, the fruity profile is velvety, with gentle carbonation, and as a fresh, light product, it contains no artificial colourings.

This tribute to the god of chaos is the mead best enjoyed during those gatherings where everyone ends up analysing Evangelion as if they were psychologists doing overtime, or while you watch Deadpool trying to break the fourth wall.

• Hela Mead: Half beehive, half lime tree: chaotic neutral.

It’s time to summon Hela Mead. Imagine a beehive deciding to do an epic crossover with a shipment of fresh limes: the result is this mead, with a citrus aroma more intense than the debate over who shot first in the cantina.

With a balanced flavour that absolutely does not require a saving throw against acid, Hela is the ideal companion for your role‑playing sessions or for arguing theories about how Game of Thrones should have ended. It’s the ultimate pact: the warmth of honey from The Reach shaking hands with the cold, sharp edge of a lime straight out of Winterfell.

Achieving a balanced flavour where honey and lime didn’t declare war on each other was a diplomatic challenge worthy of Tyrion on an inspired afternoon — but we finally managed to bottle that wonderful alliance.

PS: On another note, we love giving advice no one asked for, so here’s one: store your mead in a cool place and away from direct sunlight; it’s the best way to enjoy it as if you’d bought it yesterday (but please, we beg you, make sure it’s before the best‑before date).
