Mjolnir Mead
Mjolnir Mead: the flavour for open‑world palates.

Ginger is one of those ingredients perfectly suited to anyone who likes exploring every last corner of the map, which is why our ginger recipe is the ideal shortcut to discovering the most remote flavour region on the Continent’s map.

Mjolnir Mead is a variety that balances the characteristic flavour of ginger with the sweetness of honey; with this recipe, what we achieve is a mead version of what would be a Ginger Ale — the famous, refreshing English drink that has conquered the world.

Developing the perfectly balanced formula was as meticulous as trying to complete every side quest in The Witcher 3 (without using any guide); finding the exact point where the ginger is clearly noticeable, but doesn’t become spicy, was no simple task.

This tasty mead won’t give you a witcher’s night vision, nor make dragons fear you, but it’s the perfect ally for your sofa‑and‑controller afternoons if you’re looking for a mead that strays from classic flavours. This spiced metheglin is so well achieved that Geralt of Rivia would be willing to pay whatever crowns were needed to taste it — because a mead where the ginger truly stands out without setting your throat ablaze like a red dragon is not something you find just anywhere.

PS: On another note, we love giving advice no one asked for, so here’s one: store your mead in a cool place and away from direct sunlight; it’s the best way to enjoy it as if you’d bought it yesterday (but please, we beg you, make sure it’s before the best‑before date).

Product details:

  • Alcohol: 4,5% vol.
  • Format: 33 cl in a dark‑glass bottle.
  • Style: Sweet metheglin.
  • Ingredients: Water, 100% local honey, fresh ginger, dextrose, yeast and sulphites.
  • Properties: Gluten‑free. Traditional mead contains no gluten because it is not made with grains or malts.

Additional information

Pairing:

– Asian dishes: It enhances the flavours of mild curries, stir‑fries or noodles with ginger and citrus.

– Roasted meats: It complements glazed chicken or pork with a subtle spiced touch.

Organoleptic properties:

Fresh ginger brings a very controlled spicy touch while delivering a clearly noticeable ginger flavour and aroma — ideal for those who enjoy balanced profiles and very moderate heat. The honey softens and harmonises the whole, preserving its unique character. The aftertaste is reminiscent of a honey‑and‑lemon sweet.
Alcohol: 4,5% ABV.
Craft‑made and gluten‑free.

Our meads hold up remarkably well over time; you simply need to store them at room temperature and protected from sunlight. Their flavour won’t change and they won’t gain extra carbonation, as these meads are very stable and never re‑ferment.

Queen’s Cup judges

The “Copa Reina” (Queen’s Cup) is one of those places where mead gets serious.

Organised by AESHI (Spanish Mead Association), the Queen’s Cup has earned its place as a benchmark event in Spain thanks to its strict criteria when evaluating mead recipes.

In this tribunal, recipes must be excellent, as the judges apply a technical standard that accepts no beginner quests — only deep organoleptic analysis.

For that reason, we thank AESHI for choosing us as judges in 2021, 2022 and 2023. We may not be the most traditional (in fact, not even remotely normal), but our tasting notes have proven to be a critical hit.
