Odin and Loki pack
A meeting of contrasts: tradition and creativity in the same fridge slot.

Explore the world of mead with the Odin & Loki Pack, a clash of flavours and two opposing mead‑making philosophies. On one side, you have Odin’s recipe — more traditional than Gandalf’s fireworks in Hobbiton (never fails). On the other, you’ll find Loki’s surprising blackcurrant flavour, a proposal where, much like Saruman, we initially aimed for a standard recipe… but ambition for colour and flavour got slightly out of hand. This pack is an invitation to discover what happens when tradition and… creativity meet in your glass.

Mead Odin: Traditional mead that has existed longer than One Piece.

Odin Mead is a traditional‑style mead at 5% vol. On the nose, you’ll find clean notes; on the palate, balance (if there’s something we despise, it’s cloying sweetness), because we’re talking about a mead so remarkably stable that not even a stubborn dwarf would dare argue with it. What does this mean? It withstands the passage of time without turning odd, without re‑fermenting and without mutating into something you never asked for.

A recipe with freshness, sweetness and flavour that fits in many settings — though it definitely prefers tables covered in dice, comics, miniatures, guitars and people who say “this will be quick” and then show up with a brand‑new rulebook.

Mead Loki: A fruity mead, incredibly well‑suited to people who farm excuses.

Loki Mead is a fruity melomel recipe at 6.5% ABV, and it disappears from our storage with the same speed Batman uses when someone tries to thank him. Its deep red colour doesn’t come from any marketing trick (even though it does look like a collector’s edition); it comes straight from blackcurrant. On the palate, the fruity profile is velvety, with gentle carbonation, and as a fresh, light product, it contains no artificial colourings.

This tribute to the god of chaos is the mead best enjoyed during those gatherings where everyone ends up analysing Evangelion as if they were psychologists doing overtime, or while you watch Deadpool trying to break the fourth wall.

PS: On another note, we love giving advice no one asked for, so here’s one: store your mead in a cool place and away from direct sunlight; it’s the best way to enjoy it as if you’d bought it yesterday (but please, we beg you, make sure it’s before the best‑before date).

Additional information

Pairing:

Mead Odin:
– Meat: Ideal for pairing with meats in sweet sauces. Replace your usual sweet cooking wine with Odin Mead and adjust the amount of sugar or honey for a unique result.
– Aged cheeses: The intensity and complexity of Odin Mead balance perfectly with aged cheeses such as mature Manchego, Parmesan or Pecorino.

Mead Loki:
– Desserts: Its fresh, fruity character is perfect alongside a creamy cheesecake or a chocolate brownie.<br/>
– Blue cheeses: The fruity freshness of Loki Mead is the ideal match for cheeses like gorgonzola, roquefort or a mild cabrales, as its sweetness balances the salty intensity of these cheeses.

Organoleptic properties:

Odín: A traditional‑style mead that combines the floral nuances of honey with the acidic balance typical of a well‑rounded fermentation. It also has a gentle carbonation and leaves a long, pleasant aftertaste of multifloral honey.
Alcohol: 5% ABV.
Craft‑made and gluten‑free.

Loki: Loki Mead blends the sweet notes of honey with the fruity acidity of blackcurrant, adding light tannic touches and resulting in an intense reddish colour
Each sip finishes with an aftertaste reminiscent of red‑berry jam.
Alcohol: 6,5% ABV.
Craft‑made and gluten‑free.

Our meads hold up remarkably well over time; you simply need to store them at room temperature and protected from sunlight. Their flavour won’t change and they won’t gain extra carbonation, as these meads are very stable and never re‑ferment.

Why Odin?

Queen’s Cup judges

The “Copa Reina” (Queen’s Cup) is one of those places where mead gets serious.

Organised by AESHI (Spanish Mead Association), the Queen’s Cup has earned its place as a benchmark event in Spain thanks to its strict criteria when evaluating mead recipes.

In this tribunal, recipes must be excellent, as the judges apply a technical standard that accepts no beginner quests — only deep organoleptic analysis.

For that reason, we thank AESHI for choosing us as judges in 2021, 2022 and 2023. We may not be the most traditional (in fact, not even remotely normal), but our tasting notes have proven to be a critical hit.
